Tips For A Best Fishing Tour

fishing-tour.jpgA great way to spend a vacation is to go on a fishing tour with friends or family to a place that you have not tried before. It will be a marvellous time to enjoy fishing and learn more about this activity. Repeatedly going to a vacation destination that you’ve been in almost always can be pretty boring. Even going on a fishing trip on an area over and over again is not a good idea as well. So if you want to go on an enjoyable weekend, be sure to go on a fishing tour.

Enjoy An Exciting and Memorable Fishing Tour

Be sure to inspect your tackle before your fishing trip Myrtle Beach. Your reel must be in good working order. Pull the line off the spool with some drag for you to know that it is smooth. If you notice any fluctuation in the drag then you have to stop. Always remember that a smoother drag will give you higher chances of success. When you go on a fishing trip, make sure that the floor is as dry as it can be. The boat’s deck is sure to get wet so you need to wear rubber soled shoes to avoid accidental falls. Wipe up the surface of the boat with a mop or a towel before you set out on the water. Have you ever tried fly fishing? It is a famous fishing style that is both fun and exciting that is unique when compared to other approaches. If you are interested, you should purchase different lures, rods, and clothing to participate.  You should also know where to cast by studying the seasonal migration pattern of fish. Fish are headed upstream during spring and that is why it is best to cast uphill. Come fall, the fish will be heading towards the opposite direction so you have to fish downhill. When finding deep water areas, you have to check at the water’s current. Look into places that have the deepest water when you’re river fishing. These spots usually draw fish more than shallower waters, especially when the weather is quite warm. They might also be discovered near ledge formations and substantial rocks. When you have located your spot on the river, be sure to take note of it for the next time. If you are using an artificial bait, be sure to change them very now and then. This tip is extremely useful if you have been out all day and still have not caught anything. There are instances when unusually bright baits can lure in fish. You also need to wet your hands when preparing to bring a fish on the boat. This will help prevent fish skin from drying out especially if you need to release your catch back into the water. You also need to know and follow any legal requirements for fishing in your selected location. Although a few areas might not let you fish in a certain lake or river, others might prohibit certain types of bait. One method to make sure that you are following the fishing rules and regulations is to talk to local government agencies.

The fish in these locations are extremely strong swimmers, which they use to elude predators like other bigger fish and fishermen as well. A deep sea fishing battle is just like a duel, which will display both your endurance and strength. Will it be fish over man or man over fish? During this part of your adventure, you will use the reeling skills that you have learned, with coaching from the pros like your skipper while the captain steers the boat a bit to provide you a better vantage of bringing the fish in rather than breaking the line. Element of Surprise Deep sea fishing will have a lot of surprises for both novice and experienced fishermen. Now, it is not probable that your boat will be cut in half by the descendant of Megalodon and you become fish food in an instant. It’s not that kind of surprise. The surprise will be when you face the biter at the end of the fishing line, the one that you have been fervently and patiently hanging on to for almost an hour. When the fish is taken out of the water, it is great to see the face of a fisherman once they finally view their catch.

Tips For Choosing Your Dolphin Watching Tour

dolphin-tours-300x225.jpegAre you interested in going on dolphin tours? There are several factors you need to consider when picking the right company and you need to make sure that you do this right if you want to have a wonderful experience. Listed below are a few things you need to ask before you make a decision.

What Kind Of Boat Are You Using?

The question is basically oriented for you to know if it is a boat or maybe an inflatable. It will also let you know how big the boat is, what is it made of, and the kind of motors the boat has. You also need to know if the boat is fitted with an emergency radio. In case the boat doesn’t match the description you got when you did your research, then you should think twice. If you feel something is off when the boat arrives, it is also best not to board it. The boat you will use for dolphin tours doesn’t have to be a big boat or even a yacht. However, you need to know ahead of time what you will get and where you will board.

How Long Will The Tour Last?

You need to ask your provider how long the tour will last. It is crucial not just for you to get what you’re paying for but also to let you know what special items you might need in case the tour is going to be extended. These include your food, sun protection, glasses, additional clothing, and more. In case the tour is longer than three hours, ask if there food and drinks are included, or if you need to bring your own.

Where Is The Tour Going?

It’s another crucial security measure that you have to know. Find out where the tour is going and inform the other members of your group. If everyone you are with want to come along to the dolphin tour Myrtle Beach, don’t forget to tell your hotel where you are going, the name of the company you hired like Voyager Deep Sea Fishing & Dolphin Cruises and how long you think you will be away.

How Many People Will Attend The Dolphin Tours?

This questions is related to how big the boat is. In case the tour is shared with others, be sure that the boat is not overcrowded. In case the boat is an inflatable boat, take note of the number of people who will board the boat. Be sure to include crew members as a few companies take the boat’s boarding limit capacity but they have 5 members, which means they may exceed the limitations.

What Should You Expect To See?

This one is difficult but at least you’ll get some sort of commitment from the tour operator. Although you already know what you should see, the operator cannot guarantee that dolphins and whales will be at the same place daily. You have to know what your tour operators’ intentions are like if they plan to move to a new location.

How Much Will It Cost

You should also ask beforehand how much the dolphin watch tour will cost you and what else are included. This should be the last question you need to ask after you’ve asked them the previous questions. Don’t forget to ask for child price in case you are bring some kids along.

What Crew Is Going In The Trip?

Here’s where you should get more serious. Keep in mind that there are two types of tours, swimming with the dolphins and watching them only. Even though in both cases, you need to be careful about the crew, you have to take extra care always.

What Equipment Do You Have?

This question is an important one so don’t forget it especially if your dolphin tour includes swimming with the dolphins. If you are not taking your very own equipment, you should ask the operator about the condition as well as the kind of equipment you will get. Whether you are diving or watching only, you need to be sure that you have a life jacket. It should be just you but everyone who will board the boat.

What To Expect When Going On A Deep Sea Fishing Trip?

deep-sea-fishing-4.jpgWhat are the things you can expect when you go on a deep sea fishing trip? Strong wind blowing your hair, feeling anxious as to when you’ll feel a strong tug at the end of your tackle, the idea of catching something big, and a photo of you carrying a large fish. These are only a few of the things you can expect during your trip. Listed below are the other ones that you need to anticipate.

Nothing Shallow

Just like what its name suggests, there’s going to be nothing shallow when you go deep sea fishing. You will be heading off to deeper waters that are at least 30 meters deep. Be sure to bring everything you need because you will be far from dry land.

Deep Sea Fishing Depends On The Weather

Your fishing trip will depend on the weather; wind that negatively impacts the strength of the water waves will play an important part in navigation. Your skipper will give you more information about this as deep sea fishing is dangerous. But if you set in place the appropriate precautionary measures, you will be able to minimize the risks. If these things caused the cancellation of your trip, don’t feel sad. You can easily reschedule your trip to a different time and date so you can safely enjoy your trip. Deep Sea Fishing Is More Physical Compared To Inshore Fishing If you are used to sitting while holding a pole in one hand and a can of beer on the other then you might want to think again. Deep sea fishing is a more physical water sport compared to inshore fishing. It is all hands on deck when on a deep sea fishing trip. Once you hook your first catch, it will be more than a jerk that you need to handle with one hand. You will be dealing with a fish that is bigger and stronger than common inshore fish.

Different Rods

Deep sea fishing Myrtle Beach use the same tools but with different specifications. The tackle required is much more tolerant to sea water since salt causes corrosion much faster than normal freshwater or inshore equipment. Lines are are more tolerant of game weight and pull. Multiplier reels take the place of the traditional reel to get rid of friction. The different gears allows you to have more stability and offers more strength when holding the line as you reel a large fish out of the water and into your boat.

Run Ins

You should expect to see more than the typical pond frogs or sea creatures in your local lake. Take note that you are in the open sea which means you will see manatees, puffer fish, dolphins, and even sharks. Don’t worry about all these possible run ins, your skipper and fishing charters, in general, know all about the safest fishing spots in the area.

Expect Action and Visual Satisfaction

Your trip will surely be action packed, which will get your adrenaline pumping. Things will become more exciting once you hook your very first catch. Always be prepared to capture them on camera because you will be having a lot of fun and memorable experience during your fishing trip.

Voyager Dolphin Cruise Reviews

Ever thought about taking a dolphin cruise in Myrtle Beach? Here is what others have to say about our dolphin tour:

Voyager Dolphin Cruise Reviews – Facebook

Steven Lawson This was an absolute awesome dolphin cruise. The captain was very informative and the deck hands were beyond outstanding. My mother wanted to go and we were concerned about getting her up on boat because she is in a wheelchair. These guys got her up and were so nice. I highly recommend you take the trip

Michael Anderson My family went on a dolphin cruise today and we loved it! I had been on a fishing trip with Voyager earlier this summer with some friends and it was great, so when we took our family vacation, my wife and kids wanted to go out on a boat while we were here.

The cruise was very relaxing and captain Brian Davis provided a nice narration of local history as we passed by little fishing towns and marinas, plus he also revealed some hidden gems along the way that we would have never discovered on our own! There were no dolphins today, but I can't blame the captain for wild animals not showing right on cue.

The crew, Andrew and Tyler were attentive and helpful, although at one point they were busy dropping a net off the back and could not help passengers who wanted drinks. The net was all part of the cruise and people just have to wait. The crew pulled up some sea life and everyone got a chance to hold a small stingray. My 2 kids were really impressed. Andrew was great with my kids as he showed them the stingray. The captain continued in his best attempt to find dolphins but they didn't show. We were out in the ocean for about 30-40 minutes, but it seemed longer.

One thing we liked about this boat, compared to other dolphin boats is how we could walk all around the boat during the trip, and it has an inside cabin with comfortable benches and tables to sit at. We didn't have any trouble getting snacks or drinks.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable trip, despite not seeing dolphins, and worth the money. Captain Brian and his crew made it a trip to remember. We will definitely be back next year to do it again!

Joan Fowler What an awesome experience. Our family did the Dolphin Cruise this morning and we all had a fantastic time. The seas were a little rough but come on its the ocean. We were lucky enough to actually get to see dolphins which were a huge bonus as no one would ever be able to guarantee that. We even got to see a small 4 ft shark swimming around BONUS. The crew and captain were nothing but friendly and knowledgeable about the area the waterway in which we traveled and I would highly recommend this as an adventure for everyone and what a wonderful picture you have the option of purchasing at the end. Thanks again for a wonderful experience. Team Fowler, Windsor, ON, Canada

Briana Riddle We went on the dolphin boat tour a week ago and loved it! My daughter is about to turn 5 and it was her first boat ride. The crew was AMAZING and even sang Happy Birthday to our daughter! We were able to see a dolphin, baby shark, squid, and a puffer fish. The crew let our daughter touch and hold the squid and the fish. This will for sure be something we do every year when we go on vacation! Thank you for the great experience!!!

Four Tips For A Myrtle Beach Dolphin Cruise

You have been looking forward to this day. You decided to embark on a dolphin cruise adventure, and you’re trying to find some ideas about where to begin. Doing a little research before you plunge into the adventure may bring some beneficial results. In this guide, you are going to learn important suggestions each person or family on a dolphin cruise Myrtle Beach should know. But before proceeding, let’s learn the main differences between a dolphin and a porpoise. People normally use the terms porpoises, whales and dolphins in describing marine mammals that belong to the order Cetacea, and use them often interchangeably.  However, there are some differences between them. Dolphins are far more prevalent when compared to porpoises. Majority of scientists are in agreement there are 32 dolphin species-and 5 closely related river dolphin species-while there are only 6 porpoise species. The harbor porpoise, for example, has small pointed flippers, and no beak. Its dorsal fin is not only small but also has a triangle shape. The difference basically comes down to their fins, their figures, and their faces. Dolphins have prominent and “elongated “beaks” plus cone-shaped teeth. The curved or hooked dorsal fin of the dolphin differs also from the triangular dorsal fin of the porpoise. Basically, dolphins have leaner bodies while porpoise bodies are portly. To communicate with each other underwater, dolphins make whistling sounds via their blowholes, while scientists are quite certain porpoises don’t do this. Simply speaking, dolphins are more talkative than porpoises. The wild winter weather has made it a great time to take advantage of a dolphin cruise. Below are a few tips to help you prepare for your trip.

Wearing the Appropriate Attire For Your Myrtle Beach Deep Sea Fishing Adventure

Deep sea fishing in Myrtle Beach is a great and fun experience. However, to fully enjoy this outdoor adventure, preparation is needed. Now that you planned your next deep sea fishing adventure, let's talk security, convenience, and performance while your packaging your outfit. When preparing your attire for deep sea fishing, you have to consider a few things like the weather, security, and what time of year you are planning to go. Just like any other sport, dressing properly during your deep sea fishing adventure will boost your efficiency in order to make your experience more fun.

Choosing the Right Deep Sea Fishing Attire

Myrtle Beach is one of the best deep sea fishing spots in the country. With pristine waters and incredible sunlight, no wonder more people choose Myrtle Beach for their deep sea fishing adventure. This is why wearing the proper outfit is a must. Sun protecting gear Be prepared to safeguard your skin from sunburn. The sun shines brighter in the Intercoastal Waterways, and the ultraviolet (UV) rays can pierce directly through the clouds. In addition to sunblock, an excellent guideline is to secure your skin from the sun's damaging rays with hats, sunglasses, and UV protecting outfit. Those who get ready for the sun's strength prior to deep sea fishing enjoy a more fun deep sea fishing adventure.  Water ready suit Throughout your deep sea fishing expedition, you will be atop a body of water so be ready for splashes and water sprinkling throughout your journey. Charter boats are normally equipped with a cabin,  so rain showers must never ever have you running inside to keep from getting damp. A little splash of water should not be a reason to alter clothing. Suit up properly for this experience, and welcome the saltwater as you check out the sea with the finest Myrtle Beach deep sea fishing adventure. Stressing over how to keep dry might even ruin your experience.  Additionally, even if the deck is covered with a non-slip grip, the wetness, and fish slime might trigger a fall if you are not wearing anti-slip technology on your soles.  As long as you have a great rubber sole, you are good. Keep in mind that slip-on shoes can quickly be slipped off so prevent anything that cannot protect your feet. Wear outfit appropriate for the weather  A swimwear and tee shirt is great during the hotter months if you do not mind staying damp throughout your journey. Quick-dry clothes give anglers a chance to experience saltwater fishing without the pain that water enforces on clothes sticking to the skin when you move around the boat to reel in your huge catch. Throughout cooler months, bear in mind that the temperature level drops a couple of degrees far from the coast. Layers of quick-dry clothing will improve your fishing experience. In addition to your layers of quick-dry clothing, prepare for a drizzle, or 2. Bring a poncho or raincoat to get ready for the possibility of coming across an outdoor shower while deep sea fishing. Be ready to keep your hands dirty! It's but natural folks! You are highly likely to have fun when you go deep sea fishing throughout your Myrtle Beach adventure. How else can you get those conventional "Hero Shot" images? The crew will assist with many of the unclean work, you'll get the itching to bait your own hook, get a fish, or posture in an up-close with your catch! Get ready for the mess by using clothing and shoes that are either stain resistant or pieces that you might think about "play clothing."

Plan your next deep sea fishing adventure. Call Voyager Deep Sea Fishing to book your charter fishing in Myrtle Beach.
