Clients frequently call me to ask how the deep sea fishing is and if it's a good time for them to book a charter. I always reply that there is no bad time to fish South Carolina. The fishing season in Myrtle Beach South Carolina may change, but each season is unique. South Carolina has a year-round fishery!

Myrtle Beach Deep Sea Fishing Seasons

Deep Sea Fishing North Myrtle Beach Spring is a transitional period in the marshes surrounding Myrtle Beach. The warm winter water starts to warm up and the bait-fish make their way back into our estuary. Blue Crabs begin to shed (molt). Red Drum schools begin to break down into smaller groups or singles. FLOUNDER will begin to move out of the ocean into the inlets, beaches and at the end of March. SPECKLED SEA TRUIT will move out of the IntraCoastal holding areas and into shallower waters to feed. Although fishing in spring can be difficult, it is possible to fish with great tactics and the right weather. Summer Fishing Warm water, sweet tea, and memorable sunsets. It's a great time of year to fish. Anglers have many options for species to target. Redfish, Tarpon and sharks are just a few of the many species that can be caught by anglers. We will be focusing our efforts on big Redfish and Tarpon once we reach the summer heat. Redfish can be caught on flood tides if you love wade fishing. Winter fishing Sight fishing can be great in mild weather. Speckled Sea trout and redfish are the main targets. Redfish often gather in large groups of between 10 and 50, often sunning themselves on shallow water flats. If the tides and weather are right, sight fishing in winter moths is spectacular. We can often double up our casting to the school when guiding multiple anglers. Reddish water temperatures will cause you to move out to deeper waters when the temperature is more stable.

Some people go fishing but wonder if it was the right thing. It afflicts men and women of all ages, wealthy and poor, and it is a source of pain for both young and old. It doesn't matter if you're there for the Super Bowl, or just for a day, if your plan is to go fishing, this question will be asked: How much should you tip a guide on your deep sea fishing North Myrtle Beach?

Myrtle Beach Weekend Fishing

The weather forecast for the weekend is sunny and warm. Time to get out of the house and do some fishing in Myrtle Beach. Our vessels are the cleanest in the area.  They are sanitized from top to bottom after every trip.  Running Gulf Stream trips every Saturday with Captain Larry on the Continental Shelf.  March 16, 2020 - Captain Larry was out on his first Gulf Stream trip this past Saturday on the Continental Shelf.  With the new John Deer 750HP Turbo Diesel engine, 40 minutes of travel time was gained each way.  Although the seas were choppy, there were plenty of fish to be caught including Rudderfish, Red B-Liner Snappers, Grunts, Porgies, Amberjacks, Large Sea Bass, American Red Snapper and Grouper.  We will be running in the Gulf Stream every Saturday at 7 AM and starting in April on Tuesdays. Captain Greg has been out on the Super Voyager ½ Day trips catching plenty of Black Sea Bass, Ringtail Porgies and Small Sharks.  We are running ½ Day trips every morning at 8:30 AM.  The charter boats have been catching Small Bonita Tuna while trolling and Black Sea Bass and Small Sharks while bottom fishing.
